Manufacturing of plates:

Alloy Steel Plate has great formability, workability, machinability, fabricability, and weldability. Because of its fabricability plates can easily be modified into complex designs with standard machines. However, with machinability feature machining cost is also reduced. It requires only standard machining feeds and speeds for high quality finish. This grade is weldable with all standard welding process such as resistance welding, TIG, MIG, SAW and other. Moreover, it can be weldable with or without filler materials. These plates are designed for moderate to high corrosion in a wide range of process environments. The combination of resisting elements coupled with molybdenum assures good resistance to corrosion. Alloy steel is highly alloyed provides good chloride stress corrosion cracking. These plates are resistive to pitting, crevice and stress corrosion cracking. These plates are originally developed to withstand in the environments containing dilute sulfuric acids. Also, it offers higher resistance to other organic and inorganic compounds such as hot phosphoric acids. We recommend both hot and cold rolling methods for manufacturing. The process like heat treatment, annealing, tempering, quenching is performed on plates to achieve desired mechanical properties. After hot working operation annealing process is performed. The material gets desired properties after cold working operation by avoiding brittleness and cracking. Moreover, this also neglects the changes in the grain structure of the material. After the manufacturing process, these plates are processed from the industrial finishing process. This process removes uneven surfaces, errors and spill end from the plates. In order to extend the life of plates some coats also polished on plates.
